Tri-CAP is seeking qualified volunteers to transport passengers using their own private vehicles to medical appointments, social service appointments, visitations and other needs. The driver will provide rides for passengers as assigned by Tri-CAP within Benton, Morrison & Stearns counties, the surrounding area, and the Twin Cities. Volunteer drivers are reimbursed at the Federal IRS rate and may be eligible for some meal reimbursements. Volunteer drivers provide an important service. Volunteers can designate days of the weeks, geographic preferences and general types of passengers they wish to transport. Drivers must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license with no moving violations for the past five years and be free from any drug/alcohol influence. The driver is required to carry automobile insurance as required by MN State Law and to notify the insurance company of the volunteer driving position.
