Volunteer Opportunity Details:

A young woman with three small children has not eaten a good meal in two days. She is welcome to come to The Salvation Community Lunch Program Monday through Friday from 11:30 am - 12:45 am. Volunteers are needed to help prepare a delicious meal each day. If you help prepare, serve and clean up, you will be here from 8:30am - 1:30 pm. If you can only help serve and clean up, then you will be here from 11:00 am - 1:30 pm. One day a week is preferred. We need one to two new people on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Volunteers will help with various activities as needed in our Community Lunch Program. You would be helping prepare food and serve food to our guests at The Salvation Army, set up tables, clean up in the kitchen and dining room when the meal is over. You need to be respectful and maintain a non-judgmental attitude. The ability to communicate well with people of diverse backgrounds is very helpful. You need to be 16 years or older.
