Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Meet with consumers (persons with disability) on a 1:1 basis to:

• Socialize to decrease isolation and loneliness (go out and do activities in the community)
• Be a "friend" and listen
• Help with special projects (holiday preparation)
• Read and organize mail (and sometimes explain mail)
• Assist with household chores (laundry,...)
• Other activities as requested by consumer and approved by ILICIL staff

Training- complete volunteer application and mini-training at ILICIL. Must be responsible. Have own transportation. Have good people skills and able to interact with people with disabilities. Have a positive attitude and ready to have fun.
