Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The volunteer usually tutors an adult learner one-to-one in a non-classroom setting, such as a library or a school. There are some opportunities to tutor a small group. Subject areas may include: basic reading and writing, life skills, comprehension, spelling, employability skills, and math.

Attend a two-hour orientation, complete the Basic Reading Tutor Training (ten hours), provide own transportation, provide three written references, and attend in-services.
