Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Accountability Minnesota provides tax preparation services for low-income families in our community. They are seeking volunteers to help at various St. Cloud area site locations during the upcoming tax season.

Volunteers are needed at the tax site locations to with Spanish or Somali interpretation. Interpreters will provide translation for questions and instructions between the taxpayer and volunteer tax preparer. In addition, the volunteer may also act as a Tax Site Assistant or Tax Preparer. That is up to the individual.

Interpreters are required to attend on-site orientation one half our before their shift begins. If the volunteer chooses to also work as a Site Assistant or Preparer, the same training will be provided as stated in those job descriptions.

Volunteers are needed for 4 hour shifts available on Tuesdays from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Wednesdays from 4:00 pm to 8:pm, Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 8 pm and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 12 pm. The tax service runs from early February to mid April. St. Cloud area locations include Salvation Army, Technical College, Catholic Charities and Falcon National Bank in Foley. Volunteers can commit to the entire season or help with a number of shifts.
