Prepare and Serve Meals at Place of Hope Opportunities for Teens to Volunteer

We serve a meal every evening at 4:45 pm from Oct. to May. Days vary in the summer, so call for details.

Times you are needed: 3 to 7 (times are flexible): Prepare, serve, cleanup the community meal. We have a commercial kitchen on site. We serve 50-75 people each night, and on Thursdays we serve an additional 75 children.
3 to 10 people needed as a group, or 1 person can come and help individually. Food is also needed for this meal. You can provide the food already prepared at your home or the dry ingredients and prepare it here with the help of our cook. Meal is served at 4:45 pm.
We also serve a brunch on Saturdays at 10 am. You are needed from 9 to 12 pm Prepare, serve, cleanup Saturday brunch for the Living Hope Center discipleship program (this program is a 6 month drug & alcohol Christian-based discipleship program that helps people recover from addictions). We serve 10-30 people (residents + staff). 3 to 8 people needed as a group, or 1 person can come and help individually. Meal is served at 10 am.
We also serve a meal on Sundays at 12:30 pm. You are needed from apr. 11:30 am to 2: 30 pm Prepare, serve, cleanup Sunday noon community meal. We serve 70-130 (adults, teens, and kids ) 3 to 8 people needed, or 1 person can come and help individually. Meal is served at 1 pm.

We also need donations of paper plates, cups, napkins, plastic ware, paper towels, and 42-gallon clear garbage bags. The meals should include entrees, salad or vegetable, dessert, milk, and juice.

No training requirement. Need to contact the volunteer coordinator to find out when meals are needed and to get details. Children must be supervised by an adult.
