Volunteer Opportunity Details:

COMMUNITY NEED SERVED BY THIS PROJECT:
Catholic Charities Emergency Services assists individuals who find themselves in difficult financial circumstances to obtain food, clothing, mental health counseling and emergency funds necessary to maintain themselves and their families until better times. Too often non-English speaking clients find themselves unable to communicate their needs to staff, leaving their needs unfulfilled.

VOLUNTEER PROJECT: Emergency Services is currently seeking volunteers with knowledge of a second language to help staff communicate with these clients.

TIME COMMITMENT: Available times for volunteers are Mon. 1-6pm and Wed. 1-8pm and Fridays until noon. Even an hour of your time would highly benefit others.

• Fluency in both English and another language
• Good oral communication skills
