Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on July 14, 2009 |
Assist our residents during a community trip to various places like Clemens Gardens, Crossroads Shopping Mall, Restaurants, the Civic Center, Heritage Museum, Fishing Excursions and more. During an outing, you will be assigned to one resident whom you will assist by pushing their wheelchair to the areas of interest for them. You will be their one-on-one assistant. The Country Care-A-Van will take them to the location where you will meet them. There is usually a spot in the van to ride along as well. A staff member from our Activities Department will always be along on the outing to direct you. If you are interested in this opportunity I will go into specific details regarding each outing as the times and days vary. The volunteer coordinator will call you to see if you are available for the outings when they are scheduled, usually one to two times per month. Volunteer must be capable of physically handling a wheelchair in a safe manner. This opportunity is sponsored by: Country Manor
