UW Greek: Gamma Phi Beta
The Gamma chapter prides itself on being a group of extremely well-rounded and balanced women. Not only do we strongly participate in Humorology, Homecoming, Greek Week and other philanthropies each year, but we maintain one of the highest GPA’s on campus each semester. Our sisterhood is exemplified through chapter enrichment programs, social functions and philanthropies. Gamma Phi’s are women more than willing to reach out to the community and frequently participate in activities that raise money for foundations such as The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Badger Camp, a camp for physically and mentally disabled children. The women of Gamma Phi raised more than $1000 last spring for their philanthropy Hugs, Slaps Kisses, participated in the Polar Plunge and Relay for Life, which gives money to the American Cancer Society. The mark of a true Gamma Phi is found in the sister who strives to promote the highest type of womanhood and possesses the desire to build upon the strong foundations of the sorority through academics, extra-curricular activities, community service and Greek involvement.
