Wisconsin Alliance of Artists and Craftspeople promotes the visual arts by providing opportunities and support for Wisconsin artists and craftspeople.

Description:
The Wisconsin Alliance of Artists and Craftspeople (WAAC) produces two annual art fairs. The Art Fair Off the Square is held in July in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Jr Blvd in Madison. The Winter Art Festival is held in November at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center. Each show features approximately 145 Wisconsin exhibitors. WAAC provides workshops and peer support for its members. Fundraisers provide support for Wisconsin youth in their visual art pursuits.

History:
WAAC was formed in 1980 and incorporated in 1982. The Art Fair Off the Square has been produced annually since 1980. The Winter Art Festival has been produced annually since 1990.
