The Teen Life Skills Program mission is to assist 15-19 year old teens in foster care to obtain the knowledge, skills, support and resources necessary to live a self sufficient life as an adult.

Description:
Dane County Department of Human Services Teen Life Skills Program recruits mentors to provide support, companionship and training in life skills to 15-19 year old teens living in out of home placements (foster care). Help support a teen transition from foster care to independent living by helping them with budgeting, finding & keeping employment, obtaining housing, etc. Mentors would meet weekly with teens to develop a social as well as skill/learning focused relationship. Mentors will help teens work towards independent living goals.
