The purpose of the East Madison/Monona Coalition of the Aging is to promote the general well being, dignity, security and health of older adults.

Description:
The Coalition provides and administers a variety of services and programs to assist older adults including:

• Outreach & Community Education- Information & referral; Public education; Monthly newsletter
• Adult Day Center- Quality programming by a caring staff; Serving frail, moderately impaired and/or isolated elders
• Case Management- Assistance locating resources; Advocacy; Care planning; In-home assessments
• Caregiver Support & Educational Programs- Support Group; Annual Forum
• Volunteer Home Chore Program- Assistance with common house-hold tasks; Intergenerational programs
• Nutrition/Health Programs- Noon-time meal; Nail care clinics
• Special Holiday Programs- Food Baskets & gifts for low-income seniors

The East Madison/Monona Coalition of the Aging is an organization dedicated to promoting the general well being, dignity and health of older adults in our community. A small staff, together with over 200 volunteers devote their time and energy to this purpose. Each year staff and volunteers strive to meet the growing and changing needs of older adults in our community.

From Downtown: Start out going East on University Ave. toward Hill St. Turn slight left onto Campus Drive. Turn slight left onto W. Johnson St. Turn right onto N. Blair St. Turn left onto US-151 N/E Washington Ave. Turn right onto South 1st St. Turn left onto Eastwood Drive. Turn slight right onto Atwood Ave. Atwood Ave becomes Monona Drive/Cr-BB. From East Towne: Start out going south on US-151/E Washington Ave toward US-51/ Stoughton Road. Turn left onto US-51/Stoughton Road. Take the Cr-BB/ Cottage Grove Road ramp. Turn slight right on to ramp. Turn left onto Cottage Grove Road/Cr-BB. Turn left onto Monona Drive/Cr-BB. From Westside: Start out going East on Odana Road toward South Whitney Way. turn right on to South Whitney Way. Turn left onto Schroeder Road. Merge onto US-14 East. US-14 East becomes US-18 East/US-12 East. Take the MOnona Drive Exit- exit number 265. Turn left onto Monona Drive /Cr-BB.   Nearest Bus Stop: 31, Lake Edge Shopping Center, 5 minute walk
