Mission Statement
To work with the Dane County community to eliminate sexual violence and victimization, and to enhance self-determination by providing a supportive, healing environment for those affected by the issue of sexual violence.
Description:
The Rape Crisis Center offers free specialized crisis intervention, support, and information for anyone who has experienced past or recent sexual assault, as well as support to family and friends of survivors.
History:
Rape Crisis Center began taking calls from survivors of sexual assault in July, 1973. We have a long history of providing support and an environment of healing for people affected by sexual violence. We provide the following services: 24-hour help-line, individual counseling, support groups, medical advocacy, legal advocacy, and community education. Some specialized services include: Spanish speaker, Youth counselor.

From downtown, take Park Street south. Turn right onto Fish Hatchery Rd. Then turn right onto Greenway Cross (you will see Zimbrick Auto on the right hand side). Go three blocks and turn right onto Coho Street. Our building is on the right hand side of the street (2801 Coho).
From the Eastside/Interstate 90/94 take Hwy 12/18 (the beltline) west. Take the Fish Hatchery exit, turn left (south) onto Fish Hatchery Road. Go through one stoplight. At the second light, turn right onto Greenway Cross. Go three blocks and turn right onto Coho Street. Our building is on the right hand side of the street (2801 Coho).
From the Westside of Madison take Hwy 12/18 (the beltline) east. Take the Fish Hatchery exit. From the exit, take a slight right to go south. At the first stoplight, turn right onto Greenway Cross. Go three blocks and turn right onto Coho Street. Our building is on the right hand side of the street.
