Do you have an interest that you could share with a child?
The Community Learning Center and Hawthorne Elementary have many different clubs that fit an array of interests such as; Theater Adventure, Science Surprise, Salsa Dance, Soccer, Ballet,and more. You could have a positive impact on a child, while doing something fun that can teach other skills children may not always have access to. Either assist in one of our clubs or possibly lead one. It is an opportunity to mentor, support, and build a relationship with a young student that will have many lasting benefits.
Training will be provided. A commitment of one hour a week,during the after school clubs that take place Tues. Weds. Thurs. from 2:30-4:00, would be great.

Coming from downtown: From East Washington Ave., you will need to turn right at Fair Oaks Lane. Then you turn left at Lexington Ave. Next you will turn left at Fairmont Ave., and than another left at Concord Ave. Hawthorne Elementary is only 10 minutes from downtown Madison.
Coming from the East Beltline: If you’re coming from the US 12/18 take exit 265, and then turn left to merge onto Stoughton Rd. Keep going on Stoughton Road for a while, and then turn left at Lexington Ave. You will then need to turn right at Fairmont Ave., and then turn left at Concord Ave.
