Group sessions generally focus on specific topics including critical thinking, personal growth, independent living skills, anger management, conflict resolution, goal setting, and peer pressure. These topics are often examined through diverse activities such as art and music appreciation, cooking, and guest presentations. We ask volunteers to commit to 2 group cycles during their 6 month term. Volunteers in this program must be able to attend all dates of each group cycle. You should be open to feedback on your progress in working with this dynamic population. Volunteers in this program must complete 30 hours of training.
