The Midwest Alliance is looking for post-secondary level students and alumni with disabilities to be mentors to high school students. The purpose is to help ready the high school students for college life (accommodations, self-advocacy, study skills, etc.). This placement is for 16 hours of direct one-on-one time, which can be done online or in-person. Our volunteer mentors are eligible to receive a stipend for their service.
Mentors receive a one-hour training, and must pass a criminal background check. Mentors must also have a verifiable disability (health, mental health, mobility, visual, learning, etc.).  This opportunity is sponsored by: University Of Wisconsin-Madison
