Volunteers needed to serve as cashiers and assist residents in the Oakwood Village West independent living Apartments Village Store a few times a month, Monday-Saturday, 8:45-11:15 a.m., or Monday-Friday, 1:15-3:15 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help ensure this very important service is open for the convenience of the Oakwood West independent living residents to allow residents to get grocery and sundry items when needed. Training will be provided for new volunteers. Volunteer interview required with Oakwood Village Volunteer Services Coordinator for registration and screening prior to placement. Training and additional information provided by Village Store volunteer managers for new volunteers at time service begins. Volunteers need to be pleasant, courteous and respectful in working with others, plus have good organizational and customer service skills. Experience using a cash register beneficial but not necessary as training on cash register use will be provided. This opportunity is sponsored by: Oakwood Village Retirement Communities
