United Cerebral Palsy is looking for a volunteer to help with our baking class at the Bridge-Lake Point-Waunona Community Center. The class is held every Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. You will help a group of 5 adults with developmental disabilities learn to bake scones and muffins. The goal of this group is to teach both baking and work related skills. Deb Griffith is our class leader. She has been teaching these classes for several years. She is a dynamic leader and is fun to work with. All the participants have really enjoyed previous classes.
Volunteers must pass a criminal background check and be able to provide their own transport to and from the class. This opportunity is sponsored by: United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Dane County (UCP)

Overall Experience

I enjoyed being able to volunteer with my 2 1/2 year old.
 |
My son and I helped get a mailing out for a fundraiser by labeling envelopes and putting stamps on. The work of UCP is important to us and it was great to be able to help in a small way with their efforts. posted by Lisa Jacob on January 30, 2003 |
