Volunteer Opportunity Details:

This is an opportunity for you to provide companionship as a friendly visitor for a resident of the Health Care Center or our Alzheimer's Unit. As a Friendly Visitor, you will spend time with the residents who might enjoy a one or two hour weekly visit. You will provide one-to-one companionship, go for walks, play cards or watch TV. Many residents may not have immediate family and would benefit from your weekly visits.

Interested candidates for this position should enjoy working with older adults, have good communication skills and have a pleasant, friendly attitude. You will also be provided with a general agency orientation program and receive on-the-job training. Company paid background check is also required.
