Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on July 3, 2009 |
Being a Trail Steward is a flexible method of having a pleasurable outdoors experience for walkers while contributing to the Ice Age Trail. You can choose a convenient section or discuss what area you would like to monitor and we'll get you set up. Generally involves hiking that section occasionally and reporting on conditions. Further involvement can include mowing, taking out down trees, stocking kiosk/map boxes, invasives watch and management, or anything else noticeable to improve the Trail and the surroundings. It's also a great opportunity to speak with other Trail users and educate them about the Trail. Will train and provide guidance as needed. This opportunity is sponsored by: Ice Age Trail Alliance, Dane County Chapter
