If you like to garden and want to learn more about native Wisconsin plants, basic botany, and plant care, consider assisting in the U.W. Arboretum's Native Plant Gardens. We seek volunteers to help weed, plant, mulch, and do other garden tasks as we establish and maintain these gardens. Individuals, families, and small groups are welcome, as are novice gardeners eager to learn more. Spring is around the corner, so inquire now about assisting in the Native Plant Gardens. All tools and instruction are provided. One-time, biweekly, or weekly schedules can be arranged. This opportunity is sponsored by: UW-Madison Arboretum

Overall Experience

a relaxed, appreciative environment

I volunteered at the Arboretum a few years ago and worked on their archives. It was a very pleasant environment and everyone was so friendly and appreciative. I'd highly recommend it! posted by katreese on March 9, 2003 |
