Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on November 3, 2009

If you like to garden and want to learn more about native Wisconsin plants, basic botany, and plant care, consider assisting in the U.W. Arboretum's Native Plant Gardens. We seek volunteers to help weed, plant, mulch, and do other garden tasks as we establish and maintain these gardens. Individuals, families, and small groups are welcome, as are novice gardeners eager to learn more. While gardening is done for the year, you are welcome to inquire about garden volunteering for spring 2010.

All tools and instruction are provided. One-time, biweekly, or weekly schedules can be arranged.

a relaxed, appreciative environment
I volunteered at the Arboretum a few years ago and worked on their archives. It was a very pleasant environment and everyone was so friendly and appreciative. I'd highly recommend it!
