Do you enjoy working outdoors? Are you interested in learning more about natural area restoration in a hands-on environment? The Madison Parks Division has a variety of projects in the city's parks that are in need of volunteer help. All of the projects have a volunteer leader who will provide training, guidance and the necessary tools during the project. Each month focuses on a different project, starting March 21st with an emphasis on Natural Restoration. Subsequent projects include April 18-Earth Day Clean and Garlic Mustard Pull; May 16-Prairie Planting; June 20-Mulching Trees; July 18-Buckhorn Removal; August 15-Prairie Maintenance; September 19-Woodland Invasives; October 17-Mulching Trees; November 14-Buckhorn Removal.
Volunteers should bring work gloves, wear appropriate clothing to work outdoors, provide own bug spray and bottled water. This opportunity is sponsored by: City of Madison Parks Division
