Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Volunteers are needed to help escort Oakwood Village West assisted living, memory care or skilled nursing care facility residents to weekly Thursday afternoon, Friday morning, Saturday morning or Sunday morning chapel services or programs to provide the opportunity for residents to attend these services each month to meet their needs and interests. Volunteers are needed to make a commitment to help a minimum of twice a month.

This assistance is greatly needed to help the Oakwood Village West residents attend chapel services related to their interests and needs to help maintain their quality of life.

Volunteer interview required with Volunteer Services Coordinator for screening and registration prior to placement. Orientation and/or training provided as needed by assisted living or memory care facility Events/Activities coordinators for new volunteers upon placement. Volunteers should have good social and communication skills, a physical ability to push residents in wheelchairs as needed, and an interest in working with older adults.
