The United Way Volunteer Center is launching Volunteers in Gear, an ambitious year-long campaign to recruit a 1000 volunteers to help older adults and people with disabilities to remain independent in their own homes.

Spring Cleaning Day is a special event being held on May 22, 2004 to kickoff this exciting initiative.

You can help by registering for a team project and come ready to wash windows and do other simple household cleaning.

Volunteers in Gear is focused on recruiting 300 volunteers to serve over 100 older adults and persons with disabilities for the campaign's special kickoff events.

Thank you for you interest in helping our neighbors to remain independent and able to stay in their own homes.
