Oftentimes social workers find themselves in ethical dilemmas due to
conflicts with other social workers or professionals. Supervisors and employees can often find
themselves in conflict relative to maintaining appropriate boundaries. Where and when do attempts at creating a
friendly and professional environment cross over into subtle pressure and
boundaries between supervisor and employee become blurred?
This workshop is designed to assist social workers in navigating the
ethical issues among and between colleagues, other professionals and
supervisors and employees. Practical and
realistic examples from practice will be provided to assist all social workers
in learning how to create a more ethical practice field.
Presenters: Cornelia Hempe, M.S.W., is a former member of the Examining Board of Social Workers, Marriage and
Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.
