Each August volunteers are needed to pick up a brush and brighten the homes of the low-income elderly or disabled in Dane County. Volunteers will provide exterior painting services to those in need, at no cost to the recipients. Since its inception in 1989, thousands of volunteers of the Dane County Paint-A-Thon has painted 420 homes in 27 Dane County communities. Volunteers do not need to be skilled in the area of painting, only willing to give their all. The event will be August 18 from 8am-5pm.
