Jewish Social Services currently has a number of people who would like a volunteer Friendly Visitor. Volunteering as a Friendly Visitor is a wonderful way to enhance the life of a senior or of a person with a disability. Plus, volunteers and their “partners” often develop close personal relationships that are deeply satisfying and meaningful. It's an experience unlike any other, often uncovering unexpected feelings and unique experiences. Call Louise at 278-1808 or e-mail at louisejss@mjcc.net The Friendly Visitor commitment is about one hour a week, for a minimum of six months, and the main requirement is that you are friendly, able to give of yourself and eager to make a new friend.
