Tutor Parents in English as a Second Language

Help non-English speaking parents at Glendale Elementary School gain speaking, reading, and writing skills directly related to their life goals. This new Community Literacy program is a collaboration between Literacy Network and Glendale Elementary.

The program will meet on Thursdays from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Glendale Elementary School beginning on Thursday, February 28th.

No previous experience is necessary lesson plans, and on-site assistance will be provided and training is available.

Free childcare is available to all learners and tutors participating in the program.

Volunteers must fill out an application form and agree to a background check before tutoring.

Recommended training will be held at Literacy Network (1118 S. Park St.)on Monday, February 25th from 6pm-8pm.
