Outreach Event Assistance

We are participating in an exciting event for youth and families, the Kids' Expo on March 15-16, and we really need volunteers help to get the word out about ALNC’s great programs at these events! ALNC will have a table in the exhibit hall at the Kids’ Expo. We need volunteers to help staff our information table during the weekend.

Your role:

  • Introduce people to ALNC programs.
  • Hand out ALNC and Nature Net brochures and materials.
  • Encourage families to sign up for the ALNC mailing list.
  • Help children complete a brief hands-on activity to draw them to the booth (for example, stamping animal tracks on a bookmark that they can take home).

Available shifts:

Saturday, March 15, 12:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.
Sunday, March 16, 10:45 a.m. – 2 p.m.

We will provide you with training ahead of time and materials during the event, as well as instructions on driving, parking, and other logistics. Don’t feel that you have to be an expert on all of our programs to help out at this event! We’ll prep you beforehand to answer most common questions. If someone asks something you can’t answer, we just give them a card with contact information and ask them to call the office for more information. Your enthusiasm is the most important thing you can bring to this event!
