The Youth Service Day Committee is still recruiting middle and high school aged members to plan and coordinate Youth Service Day activities.  Youth Service Day is a weekend event for young people to participate in youth-led volunteer projects and to promote volunteer activity.  This year Youth Service Day will be held April 24-26th.  Youth Service Day Committee Members: -Create promotional materials to publicize the event, including adverts, posters, and a professional TV commercial with Charter Communications -Communicate with local, state, and federal elected officials to promote and participate in Youth Service Day activities -Contact agencies and potential participants to assist with project coordination   Pizza will be provided at our kick-off meeting January 27th at 5:30pm.  Weekly meetings will take place Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:00pm, January 27-April 21st at the United Way building, 2059 Atwood Avenue, Madison.    Volunteer hours can be recorded for the 10,000 Hours Show, the 100 Hour Challenge, community service, resumes, and other volunteer service awards.   Please return an interest form by email or post if you are interested in joining this committee.  For more information or to recieve a volunteer interest form please contact Nicholas Wagner at nwagner@uwdc.org or (608) 246-5487.
