The potatoes are over 2' high, the carrots need thinning, the transplants are expanding their roots, and we'll be sending lettuce and cilantro to the Allied Drive Food Pantry on Wednesday. On Saturday a crew of regular volunteers planted beans, cucumbers and squash, then weeded, watered, and replaced some previous planted seedlings that did not transition well. On Sunday a team of 9 volunteers from Epic Systems did an amazing amount of work in 2 hours - they painted and organized the toolshed, cut grass, moved sod into stacks, and made wind rattles out of jar lids to help scare away the deer and other hungry critters.

If your team of friends, co-workers, co-parishioners or family would like to dedicate a few hours, contact Catherine Murray at ffvolunteers@gmail.com to make arrangements.
