FUNE Familias Unidas con Ninos Especiales (a support group for Spanish speaking families with children with disabilities) will be having a summer field trip to the YMCA pool on August 1st. We need 5-6 volunteers who can swim and know or have prior work with children with disabilities. Some of the duties include but are not limited to: dressing the child, carrying the child, and holding the child in the water. Please pass the word on to your student interns or contacts, these children do not always have this opportunity. We will be giving $5 dollar gas cards to the volunteers and including a lunch; the time commitment is from 12:30-3:30 pm on Sat.
