JOIN US FOR AN ICE AGE TRAIL BUILDING EVENT July 16th – 19th, 2009!

Volunteers of all ages and talents are welcome to join the Ice Age Trail Alliance's Dane County Chapter and Mobile Skills Crew as we construct two miles of beautiful new trail.  The Mobile Skills Crew are well-trained volunteer trail builders who provide new volunteers with tools and instructions. Individuals, families or groups are welcome to join the project, but volunteer pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

Your help is needed to build a premier new section of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail near Cross Plains, WI. Work will begin at 8:00 am each day and conclude by 5:00 pm, except Sunday when we conclude at noon. Volunteers should meet at project headquarters located at the American Legion hall at 2217 American Legion Dr. in Cross Plains.
 
Volunteers are needed to:
Build New Trail
No experience or equipment needed. Expert trail builders will train volunteers and direct activities.
Provide Support
Not up for trail building? We also need help with a large variety of other less strenuous activites. Call for details.
Prepare Food
We'll have lots of hungry volunteers, so we'll need help preparing and serving meals.
Greet & Register Volunteers
Friendly and organized? We need your help to keep the weekend's event and volunteers running.
 
 
Meals will be provided, as well as place to camp at nearby Festge Park. Volunteers should wear appropriate clothing, including boots and leather gloves, and bring a water bottles and bug lotion. People are also welcome to stop and visit.
