Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS) has a mission to empower those affected by domestic violence and advocate for social change through support, education, and outreach. The majority of our services offered to the community are sustained through volunteers. DAIS volunteers serve critical functions within the organization and are given the respect and responsibilities of their paid counterparts. Working closely with program coordinators, the DAIS volunteer program offers ongoing training, support and supervision throughout a volunteer's experience with our organization. The programs which volunteers can work within include the crisis line, shelter, office, crisis response, and our children's program. The fall advocate training for volunteers is coming up in October 2009! If you are interested in volunteering or for more information, please contact Kira Young at kiray@abuseintervention.org or 251-1237x306.
