K-Ready Volunteer Opportunities

Summer literacy volunteers are needed to work with children in the Madison School's K-Ready program, which is offered for children who can benefit from additional learning experiences before entering kindergarten this fall. This program runs for six weeks, from June 25 to August 3, and interested individuals are asked to commit to volunteering a minimum of two hours at least one day per week.

A training will be held for all volunteers on Wednesday morning, June 20, at Wright Middle School, 1717 Fish Hatchery Road, Madison.  Registration is from 8:30-9:00 and the training is 9:00 to 12:00.

K-5 Summer School and Community Reading Programs Volunteers

Some volunteer opportunities are also available to support summer programs for children in grades K-5.  Volunteers work with students one-on-one or in small groups, helping them improve their reading or math skills.
