Volunteers are needed to work with the local Council on Aging and the Alabama State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP). You will help people understand their options for Medicare and personal health insurance benefits. You decide if you want to volunteer by providing specific information and assistance, counseling clients one-on-one, or give presentations about the SHIP program. You must provide your own transportation. Training will be provided by the Council on Aging, and you will be partnered with an experienced volunteer until you are comfortable discussing Medicare options on your own. You must know also that clients' information is confidential.  This opportunity is sponsored by: RSVP Of Etowah County
