The annual ComeUnity Thanksgiving Celebration is a partnership with churches, community agencies, the City of Gadsden, businesses and civic organizations which volunteer to serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal to those who would be spending Thanksgiving Day alone or without a meal. The Planning Committee utilizes volunteers to plan and organize the event. We need volunteers to chair each committee, overseeing the work in each of the following areas: Kitchen/ Food Preparation, Publicity, Volunteer Coordination, Decorations, Planning/Logistics, Hospitality, Transportation, Food Service, Fundraising, and Cleanup. Committee Chairs are responsible for insuring that the duties of their committee are carried out.  Involvement of Chairs will be to attend weekly one-hour planning meetings, and will apprise the Volunteer Coordinator of the needed volunteers.
