The Etowah Historical Society needs volunteers at their headquarters in Elliott Community Center. People are needed to act as receptionists, help with mass mailouts of the newsletter, help frame pictures and arrange displays, scan items into the computer and assist visitors to the Society. There is a lot of work to be done with the Historical Society, but if you are a history buff, or simply curious about the history of Etowah County, this would be a great opportunity for you. There are treasures just waiting to be uncovered! There are no special requirements for this volunteer opportunity. You must be able to provide your own transportation and be willing to do odd jobs as needed. An orientation will be provided at the Historical Society.
