Quoddy Regional Land Trust

The mission of the Quoddy Regional Land Trust is to conserve and enhance the open space, wildlife and natural resources heritage of eastern Washington County for the benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations.

Description:
Since 1987, we have worked to protect Downeast Maine's most significant places:

· scenic headlands and islands in and around Cobscook and Passamaquoddy Bay

· the shores of lakes and rivers

· forests and marshes

· water access points

· fields and saltwater farms

History:
On our own and in partnership with others, since January 2009 we have protected over 6,202 acres and 48 miles of salt and freshwater shore on Cobscook Bay and Passamaquoddy Bay in the Quoddy region in Downeast Maine. We also manage Cobscook Trails, a partnership project to develop and steward hiking trails and distribute a trail guide to area conservation properties.
