Waldo County YMCA

The mission of the Waldo County YMCA is to provide quality programs that promote physical, mental, social and spiritual development of Waldo County children and families, in conformity with the purpose of the YMCA of the United States of America. The volunteer program's mission is to provide volunteer opportunities for community members who want to become involved through the YMCA.

Description:
The Waldo County YMCA offers a wide range of programs and activities for our membership as well as the community at large. Our state of the art facility includes a fitness room, wellness room, walk/jog track, gymnasium, community room and kitchen facilities. We offer membership and programs for all age groups throughout the year. We have a well established volunteer program and a broad variety of volunteer opportunities.

History:
The Waldo County YMCA was a "YMCA without walls" from 1977 until February 2001 when we moved into our own facility. We are looking forward to opening our new aquatics complex in 2009. This will complete Phase 2 of our campaign to provide our community with a complete range of services for the adults, the families and the youth in our area.
