My expeience has made me aware of how many disabilities can be helped by therapeutic horseback riding.

Riding To The Top Therapeutic Riding Center in Windham (and at Pineland) provides a fun and safe environment for people with disabilities who ride and for the volunteers who help them in their lessons. Riders and volunteers can commune with horses, fellow riders, caring instructors and loads of helpful volunteers who all come together to make the lessons enjoyable. And now I can volunteer all year long in Windham because they just built a new indoor heated arena! posted on September 9, 2005

My experience with the young children and volunteers that I have worked with has been an incredibly enriching experience for me as an adult to be able to support the development growth of these young people.

I have gained many things as an active volunteer at Riding to the Top in Windham , ME. But what I have gained the most is a sense of community, appreciation, and support for those individual's who ride the horses. Everyone deserves the chance to grow and develop to the best of their ability...and Riding to the Top in Windham, Maine accomplishes that goal for each of their client's in a supportive, warm, and friendly environment. I just think abut the smiles and laughter coming from the rider's that I have helped and I know that I have supported them on their journey in this world.
