Financial Review team members are responsible for gauging the financial health of the agencies who apply for funding in order to determine if they can adequately administer potential awarded funds. The financial review team members are responsible for the financial review of the agencies including but not limited to: 1. Reviewing the budget of the agency and its program 2. Reviewing the agency’s audit and address any outstanding issues 3. Confirming that the agency is designated a 501(c)3 by the IRS and has filed a Form 990 5. Ensuring that the agency reviewed meets the requirements set by the United Way Community Impact Committee 6. Communicating clear and meaningful information regarding an agency’s application for UWEM funding. These volunteers serve during our Community Investment process (every three years) and/or Mid-Term Review (every year an a half). |
