Are you a volunteer manager who everyday sees the dedication and tireless commitment of volunteers within your organization?  Here’s your chance to thank a special volunteer by recognizing the positive impact this volunteer makes within your organization and throughout your community.  Cumulus Radio is now accepting nominations for Hometown Heroes in cities and towns across Penobscot, Hancock, Washington, Waldo, and Kennebec counties. Just email or call in a brief description of your very own Hometown Hero.  Please include the name, age, hometown, and tell us, in a paragraph or two, what makes the nominee special.  A Hometown Hero is anyone that gives of themselves to help someone else, from organizing a bake sale to mentoring a child. If selected, your hometown hero will be acknowledged in a radio spot on I-95..  Sky Taylor, radio personality from I-95 (FM 95.7), will do a phone interview with the Hometown Hero.  A short radio spot recognizing your Hometown Hero will run a few times a day for about at week.  This is great opportunity to thank the volunteers that keep your organization running, and also to get your organization’s name heard by thousands of radio listeners.  It only takes a few minutes to make a world of difference to that special hero in your life.  Make a nomination today by emailing Sky at i95@midmaine.com or calling her at (207)989-5631.  Please contact I-95 directly if you are interested in this project.
