Do you know an outstanding volunteer between the ages of 6 and 18? Here's an opportunity to recognize youth volunteers for their community service. This year, Kohl's will award just over 1,600 young volunteers nationwide with more than $200,000 in scholarships for post-secondary education. Visit www.kohlscaresforkids.com before March 15, 2008 to submit a nomination! More and more children are dedicating their time to causes they care about. Kohl's "Kids Who Care" is a scholarship program that rewards these outstanding young people for their community service. Across Maine, youth volunteers are working to build caring, safe communities and address local needs. This is your chance to show these outstanding volunteers that you appreciate their dedication, compassion, and action. To nominate someone you know, visit www.kohlscaresforkids.com by March 15th to fill out a simple questionaire about the child you are nominating. Young volunteers will be recognized at three levels: two winners from each store nationwide will receive a $50 Kohl's gift card and a certificate of appreciation; 170 regional winners will receive a $1,000 scholarship and a certificate of appreciation; and ten national winners will be rewarded with at $5,000 scholarship, a certificate of appreciation, and a $1,000 grant to the charity of thier choice.
