The Downeast Community Healthcorps Team will be holding their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 22, 2008, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Lubec Consolidated School playground. This year, around 100 children ages 0-12 and their families are expected. Our goal is to make this year's event the best one yet!  The main event is the Easter Egg Hunt, but we're also planning all sorts of great games and activities like face painting, coloring pages, egg decorating and more.  Events like this one help families come together, help children participate within thier community, and help them develop social skills.  Our goal is to deliver fundamental academic and social skills to children in Washington County.  We are looking for volunteers to help with the event, and we also need supplies to make this year's event the biggest and best ever.  We can use small toys to hide inside plastic eggs, art supplies, baskets, Easter grass, egg coloring kits, and fresh eggs to be used as door prizes and during the hunt.  This is a very exiting, special event to all the families we serve and we'd really like to show them a great time.
