Hotline Training Begins mid-January. Call Today!! Spruce Run Association, The domestic violence project serving Penobscot County, is seeking volunteers to help provide services to people affected by domestic abuse. No prior experience is required! Hotline Training: Spruce Run will be providing a 43-hour training for hotline workers. This training prepares you to support people affected by domestic abuse on our 24-hour hotline. Hotline volunteers complete shifts from home nights and weekends. You may also choose to work at Spruce Run’s Resource Center weekdays. Work-study and Continuing Education Units are available. Training includes presentations on the dynamics of domestic abuse and crisis intervention skills development. Office Help: Spruce Run is always looking for volunteers to help with telephone/office reception, clerical and miscellaneous tasks/projects around the Resource Center. Volunteers who can offer a half-day or full day each week are most helpful.
