• Homebound Services
Available to seniors who cannot leave their homes unassisted and do not have anyone to assist them with basic needs. They include Meals-on-Wheels (home delivered meals), Homemaking Services,
Respite Services, Family Caregiver, Medication assistance, Money Management and Telephone Reassurance.
• On-Site Services and Activities
The ideal situation for senior citizens is to receive services and participate in programs, which enable them to socialize and interact with others and to remain as active and involved as possible. The Association operates five congregate nutrition sites where a hot, nutritious meal is served and seniors are able to
participate in planned activities. The Association sponsors the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
• Senior Center
The Senior Citizens Association in partnership with Florence County and the City of Lake City feature new services to senior citizens in the County, a senior center. The senior center is a focal point in the community where older adults can come together
for programs, recreational, social activities that reflect their experience and skills. It is a place where older adults are welcome to come and participate in a variety of activities and planned programs. The senior center is a central place where an array of services is delivered in a senior friendly environment.
