H.O.P.E. Collaborative
- Mission:
The H.O.P.E. Collaborative is a network of community-based organizations, service agencies, and community members dedicated to building and sustaining safe, productive and peaceful communities. The Collaborative intends to develop and implement strategies, programs and public policies that will address the root causes of violence in our communities and promote peace, social justice and equity. Using a comprehensive systems approach to change, the collaborative will work with the stakeholders at all levels of city and community life. The H.O.P.E. Collaborative will bring together the provider community, the private sector, foundations, law enforcement, public safety and New Bedford residents to develop a partnership through advocacy, education, collaboration, and support of best practice principles to effectively address gang violence.
- Vision:
Our vision is to coordinate programs for prevention, intervention, suppression and reentry that will improve the quality of life in our community. We seek to reduce gang related crime and youth violence in New Bedford with quality anti-gang effective practices using multi-disciplinary comprehensive approaches that meet the needs of a diverse population and successfully incorporating sustainability that will provide the affected youth with successful follow-up and measurement tools.
