The New Bedford Community Connections Coalition provides facilitative leadership for a variety of community-based initiatives that seek to strengthen and support families and prevent child abuse and neglect. By promoting the voices of families and placing the nationally recognized "Principles of Family Support" at the heart of our agenda, the primary mission of the Coalition is to stimulate efforts and support policies and practice that ensure families in our community have access to the resources and supports they need for optimal development of their children and themselves. NBCCC works to bring together families, neighborhoods, social service and educational institutions, civic organizations and municipal and business leaders to work together to promote healthy, safe and equitable environments for our community's most at-risk families.
Description:

- Provide technical assistance and support to the New Bedford Area Department of Social Services Office to assist in their efforts to integrate the "Principles of Family Support" into their work with DSS involved families.
